Notice the rocks, it is a rock beach. The water is VERY salty, it is easy to float. This photo was taken facing westward. To the right about 150 km is Turkey, straight ahead is Russia (Rostov-on-Don) and Georgia. BTW, that lady straight ahead is NOT topless, she has little sea shells covering the strategic parts.

This is a one lane road with 2 way traffic. When a car meets another car, one has to pull into a parking spot or back up so they can pass. The beach is to the right, our apartment is ahead about 1/4 mile.

From our apartment looking out over the harbor. That is a Viking River Cruise ship coming in. Above it on the point is the Swallow's Nest, a modern built castle. You can just barely see it.

I was waiting outside my berth while other people changed clothes. The other guy in our berth spoke some English and owned a Canon Rebel, so I handed him my Nikon and he took this photo of me. The train was heading for the sea, most of the passengers were young and ready to get to the beach. AND NO, I do not know what an iron is.

The toilet, nasty! Can only be entered if you are wearing a self contained breathing apparatus. No toilet paper, but Russians know to bring their own.

On the train, the mattresses are stored above the door. when you board the train and get settled in your berth, you take the mattress down, and take the set of sheets that are wrapped in plastic, and make your bed.

No cars are allowed on this road. It is blocked off, and people walk up and down, food places, sidewalk cafes, clothing stores, book stores, and people. Before taking this photo, I had stopped at the sidewalk cafe in the center of the photo for a coffee.

The poster for Mamma Mia to the right, the sculpture center, and the poster in the left, there are brief flashes of a mix of cultures in Odessa. Eastern, Western, and Russian.... It is a very interesting mix that is never boring.
