Jade is a strange cat -- she was sitting on my CHEST at an ANGLE. Weird! Meanwhile Fairfax was in a more ordinary lap location, playing with Jade's tail. Jade now lives with my uncle, far away. Three cats was too many. She is missed.

You can't tell, but I was sitting on the couch, NOT lying down, and yet Jade was sitting on my chest anyway, resting at a bizarre angle, while Fairfax lazily reached out with both paws to capture her tail.

I woke up to this chaos the morning after I brought Fairfax to my place. He had torn open a very large plastic bucket of catnip in the middle of the night and spent hours rolling around in it, getting it all over everywhere. Papers and books are a bit scattered around too. I couldn't begrudge him a bit of fun after a stressful trip in my car, and there is still plenty of catnip left in the container.
